About Us

Owner & Operator
Cynthia Marrero-Klusky

We’re a Latina Woman-owned bakery. My story is a blend of Puerto Rican (PR) heritage with the bustling streets of NYC. I developed a deep-rooted passion for baking that traces back to my father’s (Tito) pastry chef legacy.

Equipped with a Communications degree and an MBA, I turned my childhood dreams into a reality of operating my own bakery. In 2019, I traded the East Coast for LA. I quickly noticed the absence of tropical flavors in the local culinary scene. Driven by a desire to share the richness of my heritage, I set out to infuse the heart of LA with the tropical tastes of PR through my baking.

But there’s more- my heart belongs to dogs. Inspired by my love for them, our logo includes our bestie, Bella. As we work toward opening our storefront in the near future, we plan to introduce dog-friendly treats with a portion of proceeds going toward helping dogs in need.

Join me on this flavorful journey, where every treat tells a story, and every bite is a celebration of our shared cultural tapestry!

Meet Tito!

A culinary maestro who was born and raised in Jayuya, Puerto Rico.

Seeking new horizons and better opportunities as a young adult, Tito ventured to the U.S. mainland and landed in the Bronx, NY. Starting from humble beginnings, Tito’s talent and dedication propelled him to become an esteemed pastry chef in the heart of the city at the renowned Carlyle Hotel.

Now retired, Tito has returned to his roots in Puerto Rico, where he spends his days planting, whipping up savory delights in the kitchen, and lending a helping hand to neighbors in need. Surrounded by the comforting sights and sounds of home, including his beloved roosters, Tito’s heart is full, reflecting a life well-lived and a legacy of culinary excellence.
